The College Football Weekend Review, Week 2...
...so, Monday again. Time for me to review my College Football Picks of the Week (and try and get that game on Sunday out of my head...)

So here you are, game by game:

LSU v. Virginia Tech--The pick: LSU by 5. The actual: LSU by 41. Well, sorry, Va. Tech. You can't feel good all the time. 1-0

West Virginia v. Marshall--The pick: West Virginia by 18. The actual: West Virginia by 25. But they did give up enough to Marshall that they slipped in the polls. 2-0

Florida v. Troy--The pick: Florida by 24. The actual: Florida by 28. Hey, what's all this scorin' on you guys? You should be stiflin' them, yanno. 3-0

Oklahoma v. Miami (FL)--The pick: Oklahoma by 12. The actual: Oklahoma by 38. Okay, Miami's even worse than I thought. 4-0

Wisconsin v. UNLV--The pick: Wisconsin by 16. The actual: Wisconsin by 7. Thus, their slide in the polls, and my first loss this week. 4-1

Texas v. TCU--The pick: Texas by 3. The actual: Texas by 21. Well, I guess Texas is for real this year. Maybe. I guess we wait until Red River to find out. 5-1

Louisville v. Middle Tennessee State--The pick: Louisville by 28. The actual: Louisville by 16. Boy, did their D get exposed. I think both West Virginia and Rutgers can beat them. 5-2

California v. Colorado State--The pick: Cal by 10. The actual: Cal by 6. Well, I did say Colorado State would make a run. A bigger one than I expected. 5-3

Georgia v. South Carolina--The pick: Georgia by 14. The actual: South Carolina by 4. Well, whaddaya know? The Ol' Ball Coach did have it in him! 5-4

Ohio State v. Akron--The pick: Ohio State by 16. The actual: Ohio State by 18. With the highly unusual halftime score of 3-2. But then, 12 straight 3-and-outs by the Buckeyes D does keep you in it. 6-4

UCLA v. BYU--The pick: UCLA by 18. The actual: UCLA by 10. Well, Overestimation City today for me. 6-5

Penn State v. Notre Dame--The pick: Penn State by 16. The actual: Penn State by 21. Well, Notre Dame came to play...for a quarter. 7-5

Rutgers v. Navy--The pick: Rutgers by 12. Actual: Rutgers by 17. Well, not too hard again. And they have a one-dub opponent next week. 8-5

Nebraska v. Wake Forest--The pick: Nebraska by 12. The actual: Nebraska by 3. And yet another overestimation. 8-6

Auburn v. South Florida--The pick: Auburn by 20. The actual: South Florida by 3. Oh, now this is just embarrassing. And I'm sure the Alabama fans are having the same chuckles as we did last week...8-7

Hawaii v. Louisiana Tech--The pick: Hawaii by 16. The actual: Hawaii by 1. Well, Colt "The Arm" held up, but his D didn't...8-8

Georgia Tech v. Samford--The pick: Tech by 20. The actual: Tech by 55. And we're back on track. 9-8

Boise State v. Washington--The pick: Washington by 2. The actual: Washington by 14. Well, then, that sets up a big game for the Buckeyes next week. 10-8

Texas A&M v. Fresno State--The pick: A&M by 16. The actual: A&M by 2. More overestimating. Maybe I should go to pick-em format...10-9

Tennessee v. Southern Miss--The pick: Tennessee by 10. The actual: Tennessee by 20. Easy-peasy. 11-9

Clemson v. Louisiana-Monroe--The pick: Clemson by 12. The actual: Clemson by 23. Not too much to say here. 12-9

Boston College v. North Carolina State--The pick: BC by 12. The actual: BC by 20. Next week is a clash against Georgia Tech. Should be a good game. 13-9

So, 13-9. Big drop off from last week. Let's see if I did better in the Big Ten:

Purdue v. Eastern Illinois--The pick: Purdue by 14. The actual: Purdue by 46. Well, that gets the party rolling. 14-9, 3-1

Northwestern v. Nevada--The pick: Northwestern by 8. The actual: Northwestern by 5. Ugh, again. 14-10, 3-2

Minnesota v. Miami (OH)--The pick: Minnesota by 3. The actual: Minnesota by 6. Good thing I kept this one close, thanks to the 3 OT's. 15-10, 4-2

Michigan State v. Bowling Green--The pick: BGSU by 1. The actual: Michigan State by 11. Can't get all the upsets all the time...15-11, 4-3

Michigan v. Oregon--The pick: Oregon by 4. The actual: Oregon by 32. Whoa. Even I'm shakin' my head at that one. Michigan can't be that bad...can it? 16-11, 5-3

Illinois v. Western Illinois--The pick: Illinois by 7. The actual: Illinois by 21. And the shutout. 17-11, 6-3

Indiana v. Western Michigan--The pick: Indiana by 8. The actual: Indiana by 10. Hey, fairly accurate on the good side, for once! 18-11, 7-3

Iowa v. Syracuse--The pick: Iowa by 7. The actual: Iowa by 35. With its own shutout. Yep, those basketball schools sure can play! 19-11, 8-3

So, this week I take a bit of a dive, going 19-11, 13-9 in top 25 play and 8-3 in the Big Ten. Combine that with Week 1 (22-9, 16-8, 9-2) and I am currently at 41-20 overall, 29-17 in the top 25, and 17-5 in the Big Ten. Not incredible, but not too shabby.
