The wonderful screams of silence...
...so, here come the neocon attack dogs again...this time, among other things, chastising Nancy Pelosi for going to Syria. John Boehner (it is so much funnier if you say his name phonetically) says, "She is the speaker of the House. She's giving (the Syrian) government more credit than they deserve. They sponsor terrorism. They have not been at all helpful. I wish she wasn't there."

...never mind that fellow REPUBLICAN congressman Dave Hobson accompanied Pelosi on the trip. And he's not goin' along with Boehner's boner...he says that she "did not engage in any bashing of Bush in any meeting I was in and she did not in any meeting I was in bash the policies as it relates to Syria."

First off, why they're trying to paint this Syria trip as trying to embarrass the administration is anyone's guess. In fact, Hobson, who's been on the trip the whole way, says not only didn't he know of any complaints, he says the administration actually gave them the jet they flew on. "As far as I know, they never said a word to anybody until we were in the air." (Hat tip to the Akron Beacon-Journal for the quotes.)

Not only that, but Hobson isn't the only Republican in Syria...California Republican Congressman Darrell Issa is also meeting with the Syrian monarchy...and lobbing bombs at Bush, too:

Commenting on Bush’s criticism, California Republican Darrell Issa said the president had failed to promote the necessary dialogue to resolve disagreements between the U.S. and Syria.

“That’s an important message to realize: We have tensions, but we have two functioning embassies,” Issa told reporters after separate meetings with Assad and his foreign minister, Walid al-Moallem.

(Hat tips to the AP and Think Progress for the snippet.)

...so, uhm, Mr. Bush, Mr. Boner--er, Boehner, F*x "News", Rush, et al...uhm, hate to tell you this, but, uhm...you're losing. You may be the loudest voice on the playground, but if that loudest voice doesn't have the support of the facts, it tends to get tuned out after a while. You're getting tuned out, neocons. Your voice remains shrill, and loud, and at times, unignorable...but the people are learning to tune you out. To look for their own corroboration. In effect, they're saying if the "librul media" isn't going to police these dumbasses, I'll have to do it myself.

And they have.

Rumors that Barack Obama attended a muslim maddrassa...De-bunked. Rumors that Clinton planted the maddrassa story...De-bunked. Rumors that a newsman in Iraq heckled John McCain during his trip to Baghdad...vide0wned. Rumors that Al Gore, ZOMG, didn't practice what he preached about global warming...Boy who cried Wolf-ed. (For those of you who don't know, that's the one where the boy lied about a wolf among the sheep so many times that when the wolf finally did come, no one believed them.)

And that's what you are now, neoconservative movement. You are the boy who cried Wolf. Even if a nuke were headed this way, were we warned about it from you, Mr. Bush, we would not believe you. And the many millions of people dead from that nuke would be on your head, Mr. Bush, for deceiving us so many times that we question everything that comes out of your mouth.

So save your attack dogs, Mr. Bush, Mr. Cheney, Mr. Rove, Mr. Boehner. Because those dogs no longer have teeth, and their bite was never that bad to begin with. Just take the hint, since no one is listening to your screaming, and shut up. It'll save you laryngitis, and it will save us the energy required to tune you out.
